In Belgium 2005 Journal Part Two
Day 2 Friday
Rolled out of bed around 4:30pm. Got on the ichat and had a video conference with my Mom and Pop. It was a trip. Apple kicks so much ass! SATAN!
Bart went out and picked up some fries and sausage, a Belgian treat. For me it means a gas disaster waiting to happen. After the chow (which was very tasty and very healthy) we had to go into Brussels so I could do an interview and play a DJ set on Belgium's largest radio station. (which means there are 1000 listeners! I'm joking)
At the station the people once again were super nice. They even handed me a beer when I walked into the studio. How sweet. Then their techy guy got a boner over Final Scratch as we plgged it in to their DJ rig. "How does it work?", "How does it work?" he kept asking. I said there are some things I understand in this world and a boatload more I don't. This is one of those things, I don't. The interview went great and my dj set was pimp. 1 down 1 to go...

Clues and the Devil
Chris Klooz is the owner of the bar known as Clues. This guy once got so drunk and stoned he decided to drive his van in a lake to see if it would float. According to all that know and love Chris, this is just one of many stories. You could easily believe them just by being in his presence.
We arrived at Clues around 12:15am and I was scheduled to play at 12:30 am. So with some sweet maneuvers and cat like reflexes I had Final Scratch set and ready in the 15 minutes given. I asked Chris for a beer ( all I wanted all night-on the house) and he hands me a Duval. "Thanks Chris this is yummy beer!", I say. 3 Duvals later I found out that Duval means Devil. "YES!" Me being the Satan worshiper I am, I thought that was really cool. What's not cool is it's called Devil because its 8.5% alcohol! Fuck me... Needless to say I had to switch to regular beer even though I love the Devil. (see attached photo above, 3 duvals throwing the horns, looking very faded)
The set went great. I played from 12:30am to about 6:30am. I earned my money man. I fucked em up too. For the first 3 hours I didn't play a single House or Techno record. It was like Studio 54 in the tiny bar that night. Disco till you puke. (for some that shouldn't take long) I opened with "Nature Boy" and closed with "You Are My Starship". If that doesn't put the Scotty F stamp on it, I don't know what would. Stay tuned for Day 3...
